About
Attorney Sumpter Richard grew up in a strict single parent home after her father passed when she was three and her mother raised her. She had two choices growing up and that was either to be a Doctor or a Lawyer. During college, her communication skills made it clear she was a born lawyer. That dream came into fruition in 1987, when she joined the Florida Bar. Attorney Sumpter Richard is also a Veteran. She was Honorable Discharged from the Judge Advocate General’s Corp of the United States Air Force. In the United States Air Force she tried over 400 cases in front of a Military Jury with Top Secret Clearance. They switch roles in the Air Force, so as a prosecutor, she maintained a 98% conviction rate.
After the air force, she ran her own law firm, that specialized in Real Estate Law; Foreclosure Defense; Bankruptcy Law, Estate and Probate Law and Family Law.
However, something was lacking, she loved litigating and therefore jumped on the opportunity to join the outstanding well-renowned and highly respected team at Fernandez Trial Lawyer, where she could do nothing but litigate in Federal and State Court.
Attorney Sumpter-Richard brings a highly motivated, competent, and winning skill set to Fernandez Trial Lawyers. She loves winning and she loves being in a courtroom. She is masterful at communicating and an excellent orator.
